When I met DJ Khaled, I never expected something so profound to come out of his mouth. In addition to being brilliantly self-promoting and always curating the best music in the house, he surprised me with a quote that has stuck with me: "Consistency is King."
That moment often comes to mind because I’m a fan of his skills and find myself listening to every artist he’s ever remixed. But what I’ve noticed about these artists mirrors what I observe in Go-To-Market strategies: if I consistently anticipate market evolution and ensure my strategies remain nimble and adaptable, then yes—DJ Khaled is absolutely right. Consistency is King.
However, I also know that consistency is more than a foundation for success; it’s the path to profitability. When applied with precision and adaptability, consistency creates lasting value, builds trust, and drives growth. So, while DJ Khaled’s insight is spot on, I’d like to think that my own reflection “Consistency equals profitability” adds an important layer to this powerful truth.
